Review: Grimm

Not only Once Upon a Time is based on fairy tales, Grimm is too. This series aired a few weeks back, but I couldn't write a review earlier because of the lack of time I had.

The pilot episode debuted on October 28 on NBC. 7 episodes have been aired so far and the show is on a short winter-break right now. Right after the show's debut, Grimm got rated #1 new drama on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in terms of percentage increase from L+SD to L+7 (source 1). Grimm is an American fantasy/crime drama series created by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. A cop-drama with a twist.

Homocide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) discovers that he's a descendent of the 'Grimms', a group of hunters who fight supernatural forces. He can see the creatures some humans are, while his homocide partner Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) only sees the humans the creatures pretend to be. Nick meets the Wieder Blutbad Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) while solving a case of mysterious attacks, and together they try to solve other Grimm cases, because there are more creatures walking around in town than Nick could ever imagine.

After I watched the first episode, I thought the show was quite good. There were a few cliché moments, but on other times the show surprised me. I watched the next 3 episodes, but I didn't got hooked to the show. In contrary, I started to dislike it. The show was kind of boring to me. The story line might be very interesting if brought different. I don't blame the acting, because the acting is actually good. I think it's just not my kind of show.

The last 3 episodes are still on my Sidereel timeline, waiting to be watched, but I'm not sure if I'm going to watch them.
